What is gopro

What Is a GoPro?
In the last few years, the GoPro has really taken off in popularity. What was once just a loyal niche fan following has turned into a worldwide demand for these items. The surge in popularity might prompt those who don't know to ask "what is a GoPro?" The GoPro is anHD-quality,waterproofvideo recording device. It has gained such popularity because it is very small and compact, yet it can deliver amazingly crystal-clear video. On top of all of that, the GoPro video cameras are completely waterproof and shockproof so they can be used in any type of environment or conditions.
Currently there are three different versions of the GoPro video cameras. These are the GoPro Hero 1, the GoPro Hero 2, and the GoPro Hero 3 video cameras. The Hero 3 is the latest generation of the GoPro video cameras. One thing that should be noted is that with each new generation of the GoPro Hero cameras, the support for older cameras tends to lessen. For instance, the latest generation on the market right now is the Hero 3 video camera. That means that the Hero 1 and the Hero 2 video cameras are not available for purchase directly from GoPro. They can, however, still be purchased through third-party retailers as well as online marketplaces like eBay.
In addition to choosing a generation of GoPro Hero video cameras, one must also choose the right edition of Hero camera. Hero 3 video cameras are actually available in three different editions. These are designated white, silver, and black editions. Each of these editions is slightly different from the others.
The white edition has a camera that shoots at 1080p30, 960p30, and 720p60 frames per second. The silver edition shoots at 1080p30, 960p48, and 720p60 frames per second. Finally, the black edition shoots at 1080p60, 720p120, 1440p48, 4kp15, 2.7kp30, and WVGA-240 frames per second. Clearly the black edition has the most shooting options, and consequently is more expensive than the other two editions.
The resolution of the cameras also differs between editions. The white edition has a five-megapixel camera and has the ability to shoot in bursts of three frames per second. The silver edition has an 11-megapixel camera and has the ability to shoot in bursts of ten frames per second. Finally, the black edition has a 12-megapixel camera and has the ability to shoot in bursts of up to 30 frames per second. The 30 frames per second shot is actually cinema-quality video but in still frames.
The various editions share some of the same features. All come with built-in Wi-Fi, which allows for easy uploading and sharing of the recorded video and images. Additionally, each edition of GoPro Hero cameras also comes with a universal remote that can easily control the functions of the GoPro video camera.
One of the drawbacks of older GoPro video cameras is that they do not function well in low light. This problem was addressed with the back edition of the GoPro Hero 3 video camera. This makes the GoPro Hero 3 black edition the hands-down winner for all of its features.
